Barden is thrilled to have exclusively partnered with our client who is a leader in the sporting industry, looking to identify a Financial Systems Analyst (Qualified Accountant) to join their team on a 12 month contract. This role will allow for an opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, functionality and development of financial systems across the wider finance function. You will report directly to the director of financial control and operations.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Serve as the finance lead for system enhancements, upgrades, and integration initiatives.
- Optimise financial systems (including SAP BYD and Concur) to strengthen integrations, enable system improvements, and enhance reporting across Financial Control and FP&A teams.
- Partner with IT and other departments to ensure systems align effectively with business processes and requirements.
- Deliver training and support to finance and non-finance teams on system capabilities and best practices.
- Develop and maintain automated financial reports and dashboards to support informed management decision-making.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities by ensuring accuracy and completeness of system-generated financial data.
- Assist with financial reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting as needed.
- Document finance system processes and controls to promote compliance and standardisation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive efficiency through automation and the adoption of best practices.
- Contribute to finance and cross-functional projects throughout the year.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- 3/4 years as a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience working in a similar role for at least 2/3 years supporting and driving on financial system implementations.
- Demonstrated experience in financial accounting roles with substantial systems involvement.
- Practical experience implementing ERP systems; experience with SAP, SAP BYD, or SAP SAC is an advantage.
- Proven track record of driving finance system enhancements and supporting day-to-day financial operations.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
Note: This is a hybrid role based in Dublin, with an expectation of two anchor days per week in the office.
