Barden is proud to be acting on behalf of leading global manufacturing organisation to appoint an Acquisition Integration Programme Director.

Working directly with the executive team, this role will oversee the integration of a newly acquired business (circa 400 people across 6-7 locations) into the existing organisation. While the company is a manufacturing business (circa 20 manufacturing sites globally) this role focuses on the integration of functions that support manufacturing sites, rather than the manufacturing sites themselves (for example leading the integration of the supply chain, finance and other potentially centralised corporate functions).

“This role has full oversight of the integration of support and related functions following our recent merger – working with C level executives you will guide decision making and project manage subsequent integration activities. There are enormous synergies possible here and this person will have very high visibility and impact globally” – Group CEO

This role will suit an experienced project manager who has previously lead a post acquisition integration project for a large global company. This role is more focused on people and structures than on technology.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Provide strategic direction for the integration program, ensuring objectives and timelines are met.
  • Engage and motivate teams at all levels to build commitment and momentum throughout the process.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, encouraging the adoption of best practices to drive consistency and efficiency across the program.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of existing processes, systems, and resources to identify synergies and opportunities for improvement, supporting effective planning and execution.
  • Expand on initial Day 1 requirements to deliver a detailed plan that ensures the right resources are in place to achieve integration goals across all functions.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive project plan with clear milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements aligned to integration objectives.
  • Assess how integration activities will affect workflows and processes, and design mitigation strategies to reduce disruption.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organisations to capture requirements and feedback, using these insights to refine and strengthen plans.
  • Oversee allocation of resources, including people and budget, to ensure integration activities are properly supported.
  • Contribute to tracking and validating synergies across multiple workstreams.
  • Identify risks and issues early, implementing mitigation strategies or escalating where necessary to maintain progress.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of findings, plans, and decisions, providing regular progress updates to senior leadership.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure integration success, reporting results to senior leadership.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Proven experience leading complex integration and post-acquisition programmes at a senior level.
  • Has operated successfully at a global scale – collaborating with senior leaders across multiple workstreams to drive decisions and outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence relationships at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage and execute large scale projects, consistently meeting milestones and achieving target outcomes.
  • Track record of identifying and implementing synergies across functions, delivering measurable improvements and value from integration programs.

Please note this role is based out of their Dublin HQ and will required travel within Europe to successfully support on this integration journey.
