Barden are delighted to partner with a growing global tech company as they strengthen their in house infrastructure team. With a new modern platform now live alongside their established system, they’re looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who can bring experience, ownership, and a practical approach to how their infrastructure is built and supported.
This is a chance to join at a time when there’s real scope to shape how things are done.
About the Role
This role sits at the centre of a modern, global SaaS platform and is focused on building, improving, and scaling a serverless first infrastructure – not just maintaining what already exists.
You’ll own infrastructure across AWS, manage IaC using Terraform, and work with a modern tooling stack. You’ll play a key role in reliability engineering, observability, and incident response, with the autonomy to shape processes, tooling, and standards as the platform evolves.
There’s a balance between supporting the long-standing legacy platform and helping drive rapid development for a new, next generation application. You’ll have a strong voice in how things are built and improved, and you’ll be trusted to drive decisions and deliver meaningful outcomes.
This is a role for someone who wants influence, problem solving, and variety – not a routine operational position.
About the Person
You’ll be someone who takes the brief, understands the goal, and runs with it – without needing constant direction.
You have strong AWS experience, are comfortable with serverless tools (Lambda, API Gateway), IaC, and event driven architectures.
The right person will be visible, proactive, and collaborative – someone who communicates early, asks questions when needed, shares knowledge openly, and isn’t afraid to put their hand up.
