Reporting to the Finance Director, the Senior Commercial Finance Manager (FMCG) will support the organisation’s financial planning, business performance analysis, and strategic decision‑making. The role will provide high‑quality financial insight, strengthen business partnering across commercial functions, and contribute to improving the company’s overall profitability.
ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Act as the primary finance partner for senior commercial leaders, providing insight and guidance to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Work proactively with functional heads to ensure effective financial planning, resource allocation, reporting, and performance management.
  • Support and mentor finance team members to enable high‑quality analysis and stakeholder engagement.
  • Understand business requirements and contribute to the delivery of operational plans, forecasts, and corporate performance updates.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to ensure alignment between financial control and commercial support.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and long‑term planning processes for the business.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly performance reviews and financial reports for executive stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain financial tools, models, and dashboards that support commercial decision‑making and profitability management.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the finance function and contribute to building a high‑performing, future‑focused team.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership behaviours and act as a role model within both finance and commercial teams.

ABOUT THE PERSON

  • Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting; professional accounting qualification.
  • Creative, curious thinker with strong focus on customers and continuous improvement.
  • 8+ years’ experience in senior commercial finance or business partnering, influencing executive decisions.
  • Advanced skills in BI tools, Excel, PowerPoint, financial modelling, and strong analytical capability.
  • Excellent communicator and influencer, effective in matrix and cross‑functional environments.
