About the Company

This firm is a modern, full‑service accountancy and advisory practice with a strong regional presence and deep roots in the local SME market. While part of a broader national network, the office retains a genuinely local, people‑first feel, offering trusted advice through long‑term client relationships. The firm places a strong emphasis on collaboration, professional development and supporting individual areas of specialism within tax.

A hybrid working model is in place, with flexibility balanced alongside team connection and client needs.

About the Role

As Tax Manager, you will play a key role within a growing taxation team, working across a varied portfolio of corporate and personal clients. The role offers a blend of compliance and advisory work, with meaningful client contact and exposure to complex and interesting tax matters. You will work closely with colleagues across the wider practice, contributing to both client delivery and the development of junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Advising on bespoke tax planning assignments including succession and estate planning
  • Supporting clients on tax consultancy, restructuring and investment related matters
  • Assisting with international tax assignments and overseas transactions

  • Involvement in Revenue audits and tax appeals, including client representation
  • Responding to ad hoc technical queries and conducting tax legislation research
  • Reviewing and preparing tax returns
  • Supervising and mentoring trainees and junior team members

About You

  • ACA, ACCA and or CTA qualified
  • Typically 1–3 years post‑qualification experience in tax
  • Background in a small to mid‑sized accountancy practice
  • Comfortable managing client relationships and advising directly on tax matters
  • Interested in working in a collaborative environment with genuine progression opportunities
  • Strong technical foundation coupled with a practical, commercial approach
