Due to continued growth and expansion plans for this technology group, a new position has been created for a tax specialist to join the international tax team, based in Cork.
An excellent position for a recently qualified tax professional (or recently qualified accountant with experience in corporate tax) to gain international tax experience and develop your career within a great company to work for.
About the position
- Support the international tax manager on the corporate tax compliance tax reporting processes for the group
- Working with the finance team to ensure accurate accounting of current and deferred taxes during quarterly group reporting, Pillar 2 reporting, and statutory reporting.
- Involvement in process improvements in these areas
- Working with external service providers for preparation and review of tax returns including obligations arising under Pillar 2.
- Supports corporate tax audits, addresses queries, and coordinates the gathering of requested information.
- Maintains current knowledge of all tax laws affecting the company.
- Participates in the calculation and invoicing of necessary interim and year-end transfer pricing adjustments, as well as administration of global transfer pricing policy.
- Support the team on tax planning activities, repatriation planning, and tax implications of mergers and acquisitions.
About the person
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field;
- Chartered Tax Advisor & ideally Qualified Accountant
- Big 4 experience preferred; Industry experience desired but not essential
- Highly skilled and experienced in use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Significant experience in use of tax provision software
- A self-starter with ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Requires strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively
