Barden is delighted to work with a long-established and rapidly evolving organisation in Dublin to identify a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who is looking to deepen their skills within a collaborative, experienced finance team.
This company has been a key player in its sector for decades, known for its innovative approach, strong values, and continued investment in its people and infrastructure. The role will be based at a modern distribution and support centre located on the north side of Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the Accounts Payable function
- Input and match supplier invoices and purchase orders
- Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve outstanding queries
- Maintain and post transactions to the cash book
- Reconcile multi-currency bank accounts (EUR/GBP/USD)
- Process and reconcile company credit card and petty cash transactions
- Assist in the preparation of accruals and other month-end tasks
- Prepare VAT, VIES, and Intrastat returns
- Provide ad hoc reporting and support across the finance function
About You
You’re a hands-on, highly organised professional with excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude. You thrive in a varied and fast-paced environment and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team.
You will ideally have:
- 5+ years’ experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar role
- Qualified Accounting Technician (or similar qualification)
- Experience in a product- or distribution-focused environment (desirable)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (Access Dimensions or similar advantageous)
- Excellent Excel and IT skills
