Barden are delighted to be working exclusively with an innovative start-up to help identify an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a Part-time permanent basis (5 mornings per week, hybrid).
This is a great opportunity for a finance professional looking to find a role with flexibility. This person will add value across the finance function and work closely with the Finance Manager.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Assist with monthly management accounts, quarterly reporting, budget preparation, and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Manage the Accounts Payable function.
- Support annual audits, ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., VAT, Intrastat, statistical surveys), and uphold internal financial controls.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, manage intercompany balances, and oversee financial aspects of stock and goods in transit.
- Assist with payment runs, vendor onboarding, staff purchase orders, and general administrative tasks.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives, contribute to Group projects.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organisational capabilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.
- Understanding of VAT principles is desirable.
