Our client, a highly reputable and recognisable Financial Services company with a large presence in Cork is seeking an Audit and Risk Business Partner to join the organisation. Reporting to C-Suite level, you will have the opportunity to create organisational value through risk based assurance and improve the overall operations of the group as it continues to expand.

Working as part of a tight knit team, you will gain exposure across all areas of the group, partnering with department leaders to achieve its governance and strategic objectives.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Lead or participate in risk-based audits across the group.
  • Conduct fieldwork, interviews, control testing, and documentation reviews, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Develop relationships across the group to enhance risk awareness and promote a culture of governance.
  • Manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously, adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Present to senior stakeholders up to Executive Level.
  • Identify control weaknesses, recommend improvements, and ensure follow-up on implementation.
  • Communicate findings effectively through reports and presentations to internal stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes, industry trends, and internal audit best practices.
  • Provide training and mentorship to colleagues and contribute to process enhancements.
  • Play an integral role in strengthening an existing collaborative culture.

ABOUT THE PERSON

  • Hold a degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with at least 5 years of auditing experience.
  • Deep understanding of the audit practices gained from industry and/or big 4 firm.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with professional certifications (CIA, CRMA, FRM, CPA, CAMS) highly desirable.
  • Experience in project management and data analytics will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services sector desirable but not essential.
