Barden is thrilled to be working with our client who is a leader in the wholesale and retail industry, to identify a Business Change Manager to lead transformative initiatives within their organisation.
If you’re someone who thrives on transformation – who sees change as a craft, not just a process – this is an exciting opportunity to make a deep and lasting impact.
We’re looking to connect with change managers who bring more than just experience – they bring a mindset. You will be someone who can support translating complex challenges into clear pathways as well as bring people with you through times of change. This is a role that will allow you to roll up your sleeves from process mapping through to leading high impact conversations with senior stakeholders. You won’t just support the vision, you’ll also help to set the structure and deliver.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Design and deliver impactful change strategies that support people through transition, embedding new ways of working and ensuring lasting, sustainable change across the organisation.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of transformation initiatives, ensuring all change activity aligns with strategic goals and values while maintaining a strong focus on cultural alignment and people impact.
- Build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, teams, and independent retail partners – ensuring change is clearly communicated, understood, and adopted at every level.
- Develop and manage integrated change plans (not just project timelines), focusing on change impacts, readiness, communications, adoption, and resistance management.
- Use data and insight to understand current challenges, identify change impacts, and inform evidence-based decision-making throughout transformation initiatives.
- Work hands-on to analyse, map, and redesign processes – translating complex, often ambiguous ways of working into clear, future-ready solutions that support change goals.
- Design and deliver training, communications, and coaching to build capability, reinforce adoption, and embed change into daily operations.
- Ensure all change activities, decisions, and outcomes are clearly documented to support transparency, traceability, and long-term value.
- Champion a mindset of continuous improvement – identifying opportunities for change, innovation, and performance uplift across teams and processes.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Degree-level qualification in Business, Management, or a similar discipline.
- Demonstrated experience leading transformation programmes or business change initiatives.
- Experience within a retail or customer focused environment will be advantageous but not a requirement.
- Deep knowledge of change delivery frameworks and structured change methodologies.
- Strong capabilities in leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven track record of managing competing priorities and delivering results in dynamic, high-pressure settings.
- Skilled in using digital tools and platforms to support effective project planning and execution.
Our client operates a hybrid working environment of 2 days onsite in their Cork offices or this role can also be based out of Dublin with adhoc days onsite in Cork for required meetings.
