Barden are delighted to have been exclusively engaged on an exciting assignment to identify a Business Unit Controller to act as a business partner to the Managing Director of a Strategic Business Unit for a large tech firm.
The role will be highly commercial, providing real time insights to leadership to support business decision making during a period of significant growth. ABOUT THE ROLE
- Principal business partner to the managing director of a key strategic business unit
- development of a KPI dashboard and reporting pack utilized in driving management decision making
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement
- Prepare and distribute standard monthly financial reporting package with supporting analysis to Managing Director and present to CEO and CFO
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company goals
- Prepare strategic initiatives and recommendations to boost bookings and recurring and re-occurring revenue streams
- Assist with M&A activity, including due diligence analysis and related financing activities
- Gather, extract, integrate, analyse, synthetize data from various sources, business solutions, tools and convert that to valuable information that can be used to measure impact, identify risks and highlight areas of improvement
ABOUT THE PERSON
- Excellent people skills, experienced business partner, strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail and data driven, focused, appetite for systems and process improvements
- Motivated self-starter who enjoys working as part of a team
- Highly analytical, with a natural numerical aptitude
- Working proficiency of a European Language an advantage (e.g. French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch) but not a requirement
