Barden are delighted to be appointed by the CEO of a growing business to identify a CFO to join the leadership team in 2025. The business is a leader in the renewables space and have made significant strides in recent years and are primed to make further advancements in the coming years. ABOUT THE ROLE

Financial Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s goals.
  • Provide insights into the company’s long-term financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and investment strategies.
  • Monitor the company’s cash flow, optimising working capital, ensuring a balance between growth and financial stability.

Financial Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Communicate the company’s financial performance to the board of directors, investors, and stakeholders.
  • Manage Monthly management accounts and monthly variance analysis & operational KPIs.
  • Supervise accounting, auditing, and financial control functions.
  • Lead the finance team and ensure the accuracy of financial data and internal controls.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks that could affect the company’s profitability.
  • Oversee insurance, hedging, and other strategies to manage financial risk.
  • Ensure compliance will all statutory and taxation obligations, mitigating exposures and optimising available structures.

Cost Management & Efficiency:

  • Analyse and control operational costs to maximize profitability.
  • Work closely with other departments to improve financial performance and cost-efficiency across the organization.

Relationship management:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and external stakeholders such as Banks, Revenue, and financial institutions.
  • Key point of contact to the board and investors.

ABOUT THE PERSON

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with Big 4 experience and 8-10(+) years post-qualification.
  • High commercial awareness, excellent analytical, technical, IT skills, and advanced MS Excel knowledge.
  •  Extensive management experience, excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Desirable experience would include experience in a high-growth business.
