Senior Data Engineer for Technology Enablement and Automation
About the role:
Barden are delighted to engage with a multi-national company who are looking to further enhance their technology function by hiring an experienced Data Engineer.
This is an exciting opportunity for Data Engineers who are passionate about automating and improving internal controls. Somebody who has lots of experience transforming data and is comfortable moving data seamlessly between multiple systems.
This role will appeal to Data Engineers who like to get involved in the design and development of custom technical solutions including workflow automations, reporting pipelines / dashboards and cloud system integrations. As part of this role you will help the team to improve Finance and IT processes and controls.
About the person:
- We are looking for people at both Manager and mid-senior level so 4-10 years experience ideally
- This person must have strong technology architecture, design, development, deployment and maintenance skills.
- Solid experience launching workflow automations and reporting solutions using SQL and Python (or equivalent programming languages) with measurable business impact
- You will need to be proficient working with databases, data pipelines, data cleansing and data visualization / business intelligence (including ETL) – using tools such as Alteryx, Power Automate, Databricks, Tableau or PowerBI (or equivalent)
- Previous system integration experience – ideally across both on-premise and cloud-based applications,
- You must have the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and successfully deliver technical change
