Barden has been retained by our client, a market leading, global consulting firm with an office in Dublin in their search for a Director, to cover the Irish market.
This Director will help with the expansion of their growing sustainability consultancy. This leadership role will not only steer the company strategically but also drive business development, building long-term client partnerships, and securing high-profile sustainability projects across Ireland and international markets
ABOUT THE ROLE:
What You will Do:
- Define and execute the commercial strategy that delivers sustained growth and market expansion.
- Lead the pursuit of new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple sectors.
- Collaborate on sustainability projects that enhance the company’s profile, pipeline, and profitability.
- Build strategic partnerships with developers, architects, engineers, and funding bodies to create new project opportunities and expand service offerings.
- Monitor the consultancy’s project flow and financial outcomes, turning strategic oversight into strong, market-leading performance.
- Mentor the existing high-performing team, creating a culture of excellence, innovation and collaboration.
- Lead the most strategic and high-value proposals, turning opportunities into tangible wins.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- 10-15+ years’ professional experience, (preferably within the Domestic Irish Market).
- Strong experience within client acquisition and retention.
- Degree in a relevant discipline such as Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Energy), Architecture, Environmental Science, or Sustainability/Climate Studies.
- Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MBA, MSc in Sustainability, or Project/Programme Management) would be a strong advantage.
- Additional Professional accreditations desirable: Chartered Engineer (CEng), LEED/BREEAM/WELL Accredited Professional, or equivalent.
