Barden are supporting a leading global finance advisory firm in seeking an experienced and innovative Director to join the team in Dublin.
This role is pivotal in driving high-impact engagements, shaping financial transformation initiatives, and delivering exceptional insights to senior stakeholders across a diverse portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engagement Leadership: Lead multiple complex finance transformation projects from inception to delivery, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget, and high‑quality outcomes.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong, trust‑based relationships with CFOs and senior finance executives. Act as a trusted advisor on finance strategy, processes, systems, and controls.
- Business Development: Identify new opportunities, contribute to proposal development, and participate in thought leadership activities to expand service lines and deepen market presence.
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high‑performing team of consultants, fostering a collaborative and growth‑oriented culture. Provide career guidance, performance feedback, and professional development support.
- Technical Excellence: Oversee the design and implementation of finance operating models, ERP, FP&A deployments, reporting and analytics solutions, and process optimisation initiatives. Ensure best practices and rigorous quality standards.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor project profitability, resource allocation, and risk mitigation. Support practice leadership in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the office.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Qualified Accountant, ideally trained in Big 4.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience in finance transformation, ERP, FP&A implementations, or corporate finance roles.
- Proven track record leading large‑scale & cross‑functional engagements
Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in finance processes (Record to Report, Plan to Forecast, Order to Cash).
- Hands‑on experience with leading ERP and financial planning systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday, Anaplan).
- Strong data analytics and visualisation capabilities (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into actionable solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor teams, fostering a high‑performance culture.
