ROLE: IT Director
LOCATION: Dublin
Barden are working exclusively on the appointment of an IT Director during a period of continued growth and transformation for our Client.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for IT Operations, delivery of key technology initiatives, and alignment of local IT operations with wider group technology standards and strategy.
The successful individual will combine strong technical leadership with commercial awareness, stakeholder management capability and a hands-on delivery mindset.
The Role
- Reporting at senior leadership level, the IT Director will be responsible for:
- Lead and develop a national IT function, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable services
- Own the delivery of key technology projects and systems implementations
- Partner with senior stakeholders to align technology with business priorities
- Oversee infrastructure across multiple sites, with a focus on resilience and continuity
- Ensure strong cybersecurity, governance, and risk management frameworks
- Manage budget, performance, and reporting for the IT function
- Collaborate with wider technology teams to align with group standards and architecture
The Ideal Background
This role will suit a senior IT leader who is currently operating at IT Director / Head of IT Operations level. They will have a strong track record of delivering complex IT projects and managing operational environments. Experience within multi-site, consumer-facing organisations is important, alongside strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL. They will also have proven capability in managing budgets, vendors, and teams, combined with a collaborative, pragmatic leadership style and the ability to operate effectively at both strategic and hands-on levels.
