Barden are delighted to partner with a global organisation in their search for a highly skilled DWDM Network Engineer to join our team in Dublin.
In this role, you will design, build, and scale global DWDM networks, troubleshoot complex network issues, and drive operational excellence projects to enhance network quality.

About the Role:
- Design, deploy, and optimize global DWDM networks.
- Drive scaling initiatives to meet customer demand and improve network performance.
- Collaborate with other Networking teams to ensure seamless integration and operation.
- Evaluate new technologies and lead commercial tender processes.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and implement innovative solutions.
- Ensure compliance with network standards and drive continuous improvement projects.
About the Person:
- 7+ years of industry experience in optical networking and IP protocols.
- Expertise in DWDM platforms (Ciena, Infinera, Cisco) and router platforms (Cisco, Juniper).
- In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and other key networking protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with network planning and modelling tools.
- Familiarity with technologies such as SONET, IPv4/IPv6, TCP, MPLS, and VPNs.
