Barden are delighted to be exclusively partnering with PepsiCo  as they seek an Engineering Programme Manager to join their global engineering HQ based in Cork. As part of PepsiCo’s concentrate business (PGCS), you will work across Beverage, Nutrition, and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for iconic brands like Gatorade, 7Up, and Pepsi. PGCS is a multi-functional business unit offering careers in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Finance, Tax, Customs & Trade, R&D, HR, and IT.

 

About the Role: The Engineering Programme Manager will be responsible for delivering the site capital agenda for the Ireland region, ensuring excellence in EHS, Quality, Budget, Schedule, and the development and delivery of the Site Capital Plan. You will provide technical support to the Ireland sites and manage all execution activities for the Ireland Plant Capital Program.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the Ireland sites’ Capital Plan, including scope, contract strategy, resource requirements, communications plans, safety and quality management, and risk management.
  • Provide technical leadership across all three Ireland plants to deliver key site initiatives.
  • Manage site project engineering resources to deliver the engineering agenda.
  • Deliver engineering and procurement standards, including technical and commercial aspects, supplier relationships, and performance management of key capital programs.
  • Identify and resource capabilities needed to deliver technically complex solutions.
  • Ensure safe execution, budget adherence, and schedule management of the capital program.
  • Develop strategic supplier relationships to support effective management of PGCS global and local capital requirements.
  • Implement sustainable engineering practices and programs ensuring sustainability in plant design and operation.
  • Lead the interface and communication with individual plants to ensure seamless handover of projects to plant operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • 8-12 years of process industry experience in engineering with extensive capital project management experience, particularly in construction management of large and complex projects.
  • Degree qualification in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in process plant technical standards, project concept development, business case and capital approval, design, procurement, installation, construction, commissioning, validation, EHS management, contractor and construction management, and project risk management.
  • Ability to define and lead projects and direct/motivate project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively in fast-paced situations, with personal leadership to influence and positively motivate self and peers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to work at all levels in an international organization.
  • Proven track record in executing capital projects with significant construction scope in a live operating environment.
