Barden have been asked to act on behalf of a US Multinational in the appointment of a Group Head of Program Management, reporting directly to the executive team, to lead the evolution of their PMO and guide a team of 14 project managers in the delivery of strategically critical programs through the US, Europe and South-East Asia.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is a broad role directly leading 4 Program Pillars each containing multiple projects around supply chain transformation, new product introduction and PMO Governance. Some of the activities this person will be lead incudes:
- Craft and execute strategic plans for program management that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Lead and guide program managers and cross-functional teams to ensure effective program execution.
- Supervise the planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple programs concurrently, ensuring they meet project goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Efficiently allocate resources across programs to maximize productivity and achieve desired outcomes.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, minimizing disruptions to program objectives.
- Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on program progress, milestones, and challenges.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and performance, conducting regular evaluations and making necessary adjustments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the program management function, implementing best practices and lessons learned from past experiences.
- Develop and manage program budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring fiscal responsibility throughout the program lifecycle.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Circa 15 years experience in program/project management covering multiple geographies.
- Lead teams of 10+ project managers in the delivery of tactically critical projects within a manufacturing or similar environment.
- PMP or similar with the ability to build out a PMO in a fast moving, complex business
- Open to up to 25% travel – as required when leading a geographically dispersed team for a global multinational.
