Barden is proud to be partnering with a leading global pharmaceutical company as they expand their tax team in Cork. This newly created role will primarily focus on Indirect Tax, offering broad exposure across global tax operations.

The Role
This is an initial 12-18-month contract . The company supports a hybrid working model, offering excellent flexibility and remote working options.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with local finance teams and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate indirect tax compliance
- Reviewing and enhancing tax processes, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
- Monitoring tax law developments and advising the wider business accordingly
- Managing relationships with tax authorities and external consultants
- Providing tax guidance to internal stakeholders across various functions
- Supporting broader business initiatives such as tax system upgrades and automation projects
The Person
The ideal person will be a qualified Tax Consultant or Accountant with 2-3 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally gained in a Big 4 firm or multinational environment.
Strong knowledge of indirect tax or accounting is essential. The right person will be detail-oriented, a great communicator, and a natural team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
