Barden is delighted to be working with our client, a global leader in the FMCG industry, to identify an IT Project Manager to join their team in Cork. This is a daily rate opportunity currently set until July 2026.

This is a role where you’ll get to work on a multi-year, multi-site programme spanning multiple regions. You’ll lead from the front, managing cross-functional workstreams, navigating complexity, and ensuring that large-scale change lands smoothly across diverse teams and
cultures.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of IT projects within a major global transformation programme, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and governance requirements.
- Manage project risks, interdependencies, and stakeholder relationships – keeping steering teams and leadership fully informed through clear, consistent reporting.
- Produce and maintain governance documentation, including status reports, decks, meeting minutes, action plans, and follow-up activities.
- Drive delivery across infrastructure (network & compute), SAP-based warehouse management systems, and manufacturing IT solutions.
- Guide and support cross-functional teams across geographies, ensuring updates and deliverables are managed in a timely manner.
- Partner with the Global Project Management Office to embed new policies, procedures, and best practices across the organisation.
- Provide consulting support to other project managers and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management capabilities.
- Champion compliance and audit readiness across all project activities.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- 7+ years’ experience in IT project management within global, matrixed organisations.
- Expertise in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, with strong governance and reporting experience.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects and stakeholders across time zones and cultures.
- Technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, compute, and software delivery.
- Strong experience with project management tools (MS Project, Office 365, portfolio tools) and comfortable using Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Qualified project management professional (PMI, PMP or equivalent).
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., SOX compliance) will be an advantage.
- Ability to influence without direct reporting lines and lead teams through complex change.
