Barden are delighted to be supporting our longstanding client in their search for an M&A Finance Business Partner. Our clients success story continues to evolve and they are being further recognised as the top player in their industry.

Organic growth will still make up the majority of the company’s future, however the company is in a very strong financial position and M&A will form part of its capital allocation strategy. Reporting to the Strategic Finance Director, you will gain access to executives in the company as part of this high profile role. There is a very tight finance team in place built upon the ethos of collaboration, knowledge sharing and a general togetherness in an effort to be best in class.

This role would ideally be suited to a professional with a background in M&A, Corporate Finance or Transaction Services. This is truly a rare opportunity to get a role with this scope in industry. ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Support the sourcing and assessment of potential acquisition opportunities through strategic fit analysis, market research, and financial modelling.
  • Facilitate financial, commercial, and operational due diligence by collaborating with internal teams and external advisors to evaluate risks, synergies, and integration complexities.
  • Oversee key transaction processes including financial analysis, and the development of investment memoranda and presentations for executive and board-level review.
  • Work closely with teams such as FP&A, legal, and operations to ensure smooth execution of M&A initiatives.
  • Create comprehensive reports and presentations that summarize findings, strategic recommendations, and the financial implications of proposed deals for senior leadership.
  • Assist in tracking performance against the business case, identifying operational improvement opportunities, and coordinating with shared services during integration.

ABOUT THE PERSON

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, with professional certifications like ACA, ACCA, or CFA.
  • 3-5+ years of post qualification experience in corporate finance or transaction services, with direct exposure to M&A activities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, valuation methods, and interpreting financial statements.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Highly effective communicator with the ability and willingness to collaborate across functions.
