Barden, in partnership with a leading supplier to the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry, seeks a Manufacturing Manager. The Manufacturing Manager position involves ensuring on-time deliveries and high-quality production, improving efficiencies through resource planning and lean manufacturing, and achieving cost-effectiveness while maintaining customer satisfaction. The role also includes collaborating with product development teams for optimal integration of products and processes, and fostering a work environment that promotes long-term employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee production line flow and ensure schedules are met.
- Manage and supervise all production activities and personnel.
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing operations using metrics and standards.
- Coordinate with Quality Control to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure staffing aligns with business needs.
- Train, motivate, and manage staff, addressing issues and promoting teamwork.
- Enforce safety policies and investigate accidents.
- Resolve production-related issues with other departments.
- Maintain knowledge of manufacturing equipment and capacity.
- Identify and propose solutions to potential production barriers.
- Set departmental goals and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Handle interviewing, hiring, training, and performance appraisals.
- Address complaints and propose solutions related to manufacturing processes.
- Travel as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Level 8) preferred.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Experience with capacity planning and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
