Barden are delighted to have been asked to act exclusively on behalf of the Finance Manager of an Irish SME to identify a Part-Qualified Accountant to join the team.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious Part-Qualified Accountant to join an established team with strong mentorship and plenty of room for growth and development.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Manage daily communications, address financial queries, process payments, and perform bank reconciliations.
- Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks.
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts, including financial statements and cash flow reports.
- Post journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
- Review and reconcile daily transactions and cash accounts.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance using the Thesaurus payroll system.
- Prepare, review, and reconcile VAT returns for Irish and UK entities.
- Handle back-dated audit queries, ensuring all audit requirements are met and providing necessary support.
- Reconcile creditor and debtor accounts regularly, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- At least 2 years of experience in a dynamic finance role.
- Experience with finance roles involving both Irish and UK companies is advantageous.
- Experience with HMRC is advantageous but not necessary.
- Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to handle responsibility, prioritize tasks, and approach work with flexibility and innovation.
- Courteous, friendly, and professional in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- This role involves significant data assembly, input, and management in a busy office environment.
