Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is looking to bring in a Process Optimisation Engineer to take their production performance to the next level. This person will sit at the intersection of operations, engineering and quality – working hands-on in the plant, analysing the data, and helping the team unlock real efficiency and consistency gains.
If you enjoy improving how things work, solving technical problems, and making a visible impact on day-to-day operations, this is a great opportunity.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Working closely with production and quality teams to understand how the process is running today and where the opportunities lie.
- Digging into data (moisture, airflow, temperature, batch performance, energy use) to find trends, inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
- Leading small-to-medium process improvement projects.
- Supporting the team with root-cause analysis when things go off-spec and helping to put permanent fixes in place.
- Updating and improving SOPs, monitoring systems and best-practice guidelines.
- Acting as a technical voice in discussions around equipment upgrades, automation enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bringing a structured approach to performance improvement (Lean/Six Sigma experience helps but isn’t essential).
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- A background in process, chemical, industrial or food engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong analytical ability – comfortable interpreting production data and translating it into action.
- Curiosity, initiative, and the confidence to work with operators and managers alike.
- The ability to influence without authority and bring people with you on process changes.
It’s a role where you’ll actually see the impact of your work in the product, in the plant, and on the bottom line.
