Project Developer (Renewables)
Lead onshore renewable projects from site identification to planning consent.
About the Role
Own the full development lifecycle. Assess complex environmental data, navigate infrastructure regulations, and drive wind, solar, and storage projects to consent.
Ensure all technical documentation—EIAR to grid studies—meets rigorous standards. Manage sites from feasibility through to grant of planning, maintaining statutory alignment at every stage.
- Site identification to planning consent. Seamless handover to Delivery.
- Critical review of EIAR, Appropriate Assessments, and design layouts.
- Apply EIA certification to the Planning and Development Acts.
- Navigate national policy, local authorities, and An Coimisiún Pleanála.
- Monitor business cases, manage risks, protect programme integrity.
- Engage landowners, statutory consultees, and planning authorities.
About the Person
- Recognised EIA with scoping and preparation.
- Critical assessment of consultant-led reports.
- Deep knowledge of large-scale energy project requirements.
- Multiple projects from site identification to grant of planning.
- In-depth knowledge of Irish planning policy and consenting frameworks.
- Strong understanding of wind, solar, and storage technical drivers.
- Degree in environmental science, planning, engineering, or related.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and GIS.
