ROLE: Project Manager | Payments E-Commerce

Are you an experienced Project Manager with Payments, Financial Services or regulated industry expertise looking for a contract opportunity in a global leading e-commerce organisation? A new 6-month contract role has been created to join our Clients’ Payments Payments Operations team in Dublin.
About The Opportunity
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and support continued growth. You will be instrumental in managing projects from initiation to closure, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
It will operate on a hybrid basis (1-2 days per week) in their state of the art office space in Dublin city centre.
About The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our Payments Operations team in Dublin. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and support continued growth. You will be instrumental in managing projects from initiation to closure, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures. Monitor project progress, manage risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Management: Facilitate effective communication between Payments Operations, Engineering, Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and other relevant teams. Prepare and present project updates to various stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and operational improvements within Payments Operations. Work with teams to implement best practices and standardize workflows.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, decisions, and meeting minutes. Generate regular project status reports and performance metrics.
- Risk & Compliance Support: Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure all project activities adhere to relevant payments regulations (e.g., PSD2, AML, GDPR).
- Vendor Management Support: Assist in managing relationships with external payment partners and vendors, ensuring project deliverables align with contractual agreements.
- Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, supporting team members in achieving project goals.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
Requirements:
- 1-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within Payments, Financial Services, or a regulated industry.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Monday.com) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- A proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Additional information:
- Understanding of the payments ecosystem, including payment methods, processors, and regulatory landscapes.
- Experience working with international teams.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2 Foundations) is a plus.
