ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Take business ideas and turn them into production-ready Python solutions
- Refactor and modernise existing scripts to improve performance and maintainability
- Write robust SQL queries to support analytics and data workflows
- Work closely with stakeholders to deliver tools that directly impact business outcomes
- Contribute to technical improvements, scalability, and code quality across the analytics infrastructure
Some light API work and data handling may be involved, but the role is primarily Python development
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- 1-8 years of experience in Python and its ecosystem (flexible on level of experience)
- Proficient with Pandas and NumPy (used frequently by the team)
- Comfortable writing robust SQL queries for production use
- Passionate about writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code
- Pragmatic problem-solver who can turn rough ideas into structured technical solutions
- Background in statistics, mathematics, or quantitative analysis is a plus, but not required
OTHER INFORMATION:
- Full-time permanent role
- Hybrid model – the team are in the office two days per week in Cork City
