Barden are delighted to have been asked to act exclusively on behalf of a start-up pharmaceutical PLC to support the appointment of a Senior Finance Manager.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will manage a broad range of finance activities for the group including financial reporting, compliance, and transformation.
This role will suit a qualified accountant with 5-10 years PQE, having experience in pharmaceutical, ideally in an SME or start-up type environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Manage group financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive finance transformation initiatives, including systems, processes, and controls, to support scalability, efficiency, and audit readiness.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, treasury, and budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Maintain robust internal controls and policies, and act as primary liaison with external auditors and advisors.
ABOUT THE PERSON
- Qualified accountant, with 5-8 years PQE.
- Strong technical accounting and reporting capability.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented approach suited to a lean, growing organisation, with the ability to communicate effectively at executive level.
- Demonstrated experience leading finance transformation, including implementation or optimisation of financial systems, process redesign, and strengthening of controls in a growing organisation.
