ROLE: Systems Financial Accountant (12 month Contract)
LOCATION: Dublin
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant with a passion for systems and process improvement to join a high-profile global sporting organisation on a 12-month contract basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As ‘Systems Financial Accountant’, you’ll play a key role in leading system enhancements and supporting the finance team with process optimisation, automation, and reporting. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial systems (e.g. SAP BYD, Concur) are delivering real value across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead finance system upgrades, enhancements, and integration projects
- Drive efficiencies through system improvements and automation
- Support accurate reporting and data integrity during month-end and year-end close
- Act as a key liaison between finance, IT, and other business units
- Deliver training and support to finance and non-finance users
ABOUT THE PERSON:
Experience and Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in a financial accounting role with significant systems exposure.
- Hands-on experience with implementation of a ERP systems. Advantageous if experience with SAP / SAP BYD/ SAP SAC
- Track record of delivering finance systems improvements and supporting financial operations.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
