Barden are delighted to partner with a well established Irish construction services company in Cork as they look to add a Technology Operations Manager to their team. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of technology and digital processes across the business, reporting directly to the CFO and shaping how IT supports the organisation.

About the Role:
IT Oversight & Governance
- Act as IT lead and main contact
- Manage external IT provider and service levels
- Oversee licences, budgets, hardware, and system health
- Ensure technology aligns with business objectives
Cybersecurity & Resilience
- Lead cyber strategy and maintain disaster recovery readiness
- Implement MFA, antivirus, firewalls, backups, and monitoring
- Drive internal cyber awareness and compliance
Digital Transformation & AI
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and save time
- Lead AI adoption and implement digital tools safely
- Train staff on effective technology and AI use
Internal Support & Improvement
- Provide first line IT support and troubleshoot issues
- Improve workflows and business processes through technology
- Maintain asset registers, documentation, and organised shared drives
About the Person:
- Hands on experience with managed IT service providers.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft environments, cloud storage, shared drives, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Experienced in implementing digital tools, automation, or workflow improvements.
- Commercial mindset – you think beyond the technical.
- Curious about new technology and AI, with a process and documentation mindset.
