Barden are proud to have been engaged by a global brand name to help identify next-generation talent for their expanding global FP&A team right here in Cork. Right now we’re supporting the Global Head of FP&A and CFO in their journey to bring ambitious, smart finance professionals, at various levels, into their financial analysis, planning and business partnering teams to future-proof their finance organisation and deliver on succession planning aspirations for 2023 and beyond.
“We’ve been lucky enough to have welcomed many of the best and the brightest finance professionals to our team over the past decade. Their success has set an unshakable foundation for our global finance organisation out of Cork and this talent project represents the next stage in our evolution” – Global head of FP&A
The initial roles on offer vary significantly but all have budgeting, forecasting, analysis and strategic planning activity at their core. The seniority of the roles will also vary with opportunities for up and coming part qualified accountants, through to recently qualified accountants through to experienced financial analysts looking to take on a new challenge in a team with literally no glass ceilings.
If you’re currently a financial analyst looking to take a step up then great! But if you’re a financial accountant with some analysis exposure that is looking to make the leap away from the debits and credits that’s just great too. If you’re a trainee accountant that wants to fast track their career and transition quickly to a commercial, value-creating role then that is ideal too. Your background and experience is important but it’s secondary to you attitude and ability; this company hire people first, experience second. It’s a formula that’s worked for them for decades and their not going to change that any time soon.
“We’re interested in finance talent with a capital T. Be you qualified with experience or on track to qualify over the coming year(s), as long as you have the attitude and the aptitude to make it in a world-class FTSE 100 company, then we’ll be able to find a way to help get you where you want to go.” – Global CFO
Curious? It’s okay to be. It’s not every day in Cork that opportunities like this come along. If you’d like to find out a little more about what this company are up to at the moment drop Denis Galvin or Marrisa Maher (cork@barden.ie) a line and the guys will look after you from there. Easy.
