In this webinar Jonathan Olden, Managing Partner, Barden Cork, will chat with Patrick MacSweeney, Director Finance with FireEye, about life and work after his training contract.
About Patrick
Patrick MacSweeney qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2007, having completed his trainee contract as an Audit Associate in the Audit and Advisory department with KPMG, where he went on to work in various assurance roles and was promoted to a Director in 2011.
Prior to undertaking his professional qualification, Patrick completed a Business Information’s Systems, Information Technology degree, in University College Cork.
In 2013 Patrick joined FireEye Ireland as Senior Finance Manager. FireEye is a US Multinational CyberSecurity firm and had just opened a Shared Service Centre in Cork at that time, where Patrick was tasked with growing the function.
He was promoted to Finance Director in 2016 and to Senior Finance Director in 2020. The FireEye Enterprise business has been sold this month and the company has rebranded to Mandiant. Patrick is currently Senior Finance Director of Mandiant Ireland.
Patrick is married to Sarah, and together they have 3 children, Nora, Ned and Grace, aged 10, 9 and 6. He has lots of different interests but they mainly include sport!
