Barden are currently assisting our client who is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist (Payments Specialist) for a long-term contract with a rapidly growing and expanding multinational pharmaceutical company. Salary is up to 54k for the right person and you will be working with an experienced high performing team you can collaborate with and learn from.
We are delighted to be partnering once again with a client of ours who have an exciting new role within their Accounts Payable team specialising in Payments.
Open due to internal promotion, this role reports directly to the Accounts Payable Manager you’d be a key member of the payments function, serving as the company contact for all EMEA payments
You will also be working closely with cash management and AP accounting teams to ensure there is no ageing on bank reconciliation items and with other teams across the department on continuous improvement projects.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Running of twice weekly multi-currency batch payments
- Manual payment request processing- (tax, product payments, interview expenses and travel advances)
- Intercompany payments
- Processing supplier and employee expense payments for Emerging markets
- Working with cash management and Accounting teams on bank rec items and follow-up on aged items
- Sharing responsibility for ticketing system and shared mailbox to manage queries
- Month end activity in conjunction with wider team
- Responsability for keeping an up to date and functioning payment approval schedule and bank matrix
- Preparation and maintenance of payment templates
- Maintain SOPs
- Assistance with on internal and external audit requests as required
- Involvement in departmental and cross functional Continuous Improvement projects
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned

- 3-5 years’ PTP experience in a fast-paced multi-national environment – experience in payments an advantage
