PepsiCo have an exciting role where innovation meets impact. PepsiCo is seeking an exceptional Project Engineer to join their dynamic team and lead the charge in transforming their Irish sites. You will have the opportunity to drive impactful projects and lead the execution of critical capital initiatives. As the Engineering Programme Manager (Ireland Strategic Capital), you’ll collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including external consultants, operations teams, and IT professionals. Your role will involve managing projects from start to finish, ensuring efficient delivery and alignment with PepsiCo’s strategic goals.

The Opportunity

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • As a Strategic Program Manager, you’ll lead and execute critical capital programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and continuity planning. Your strategic vision will drive success in capacity management and business continuity.
  • Project Execution Excellence:
    • You’ll oversee the safe execution of capital projects, emphasizing safety, quality, budget adherence, and timely delivery. Your ability to manage complex construction activities will be a significant asset.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers is crucial. Your expertise in managing technical and commercial aspects, along with performance evaluation, will contribute to successful program outcomes.
  • Change Management Champion:
    • Leading change management efforts ensures seamless project interfaces. Your communication skills and ability to navigate organizational transitions will be highly valued.
  • Technical Innovation:
    • Your background in automation and operational technology, coupled with experience implementing innovative solutions (such as robots, AGVs, and automated storage systems), positions you as a forward-thinking leader in this role.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • The candidate should have extensive experience in managing capital projects, particularly in the area of execution and construction management. This involves overseeing project planning, design, procurement, installation, construction, commissioning, and validation.
  • Familiarity with process plant technical standards is crucial.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The candidate must be able to work effectively with various stakeholders, both internally and externally. This includes collaborating with international teams and managing relationships with contractors and consultants.
  • The candidate should have experience in assessing potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring project success despite challenges.
