Barden are proud to be partnering with the CFO of a successful Irish business headquartered in Cork. They are currently hiring for an ambitious and self-motivated Finance Manager who would like to get involved in decision-making and would genuinely enjoy a role with a commercial focus.
The company is continuing to grow and expand, with strong plans for the future. You will have excellent support from the Financial Controller and CFO in this role.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Responsibility, oversight and control of the finance team and on-site finance function
- Develop team members in reaching high standards of work, and ensuring the function is run efficiently and effectively and the people operate as a cohesive team.
- Responsibility for the accurate, timely completion of month-end management accounts for the recently acquired business.
- Management and completion of the annual budget/projections for the business.
- Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions.
- Acting as a Finance Business Partner to key stakeholders, providing guidance on the company’s financial situation and recommending possible actions to improve financial performance.
- Liaise closely with the FC and CFO to review and further develop the system of internal controls.
- Drive process and control improvements for the ERP system and other business systems in use.
- Challenge current ways of working, driving efficiencies and cost savings throughout the business.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- A qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA) with 3/4 years PQE.
- Ideally proven experience in a similar Finance position supporting a high-performance business environment.
- A high level of commercial awareness and strategic thinking skills are essential for the role.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to establish a rapport with team and communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- A positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude.
