ROLE: Finance Systems & Transformation Manager (Contract)
LOCATION: Dublin
This is an initial c.5‑month contract
Barden is supporting a global technology organisation as they appoint a Finance Systems & Transformation Manager to join their Finance Transformation function in Ireland.
This is a high‑impact contract role suited to an experienced Workday Financials professional who enjoys combining hands‑on systems ownership with finance transformation and change delivery.Acting as the primary administrator for Workday Financials, you’ll work closely with Finance, Accounting and cross‑functional stakeholders to support, enhance and modernise the organisation’s finance systems landscape.
Alongside day‑to‑day system administration, this role plays a key part in broader finance transformation initiatives, including process optimisation, stronger governance and the exploration of automation and AI to improve how finance operates at scale.
Workday Financials Ownership
- Serve as the primary Workday Financials administrator, translating business requirements into system and process solutions
- Configure and support core Workday FIN areas including Financial Accounting, Banking, Payroll, Assets, Consolidations and Tenant Administration
- Design and maintain reports and dashboards in partnership with finance stakeholders
- Lead planning, testing and deployment of Workday feature releases
- Monitor and troubleshoot integrations between Workday and connected systems
Wider Finance Systems & Controls
- Support and oversee complementary finance systems across close, planning, reporting and procurement
- Manage integrations, user access and configuration for tools such as reconciliation, planning and procurement platforms
- Complete SOX‑related activities including access reviews, change control and audit documentation
- Collaborate closely with FP&A, Treasury, HR, Legal and Tax to ensure end‑to‑end systems alignment
Programme & Project Delivery
- Manage and track finance systems projects, including plans, milestones and ownership
- Lead and contribute to systems initiatives using structured delivery methodologies (e.g. Agile or Waterfall)
- Engage with senior stakeholders to align on project objectives, progress and outcomes
Finance Transformation & Continuous Improvement
- Support initiatives that modernise finance processes and operating models
- Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of automation and AI‑enabled solutions within Finance
- Assess current‑state processes and help design future‑state solutions that drive efficiency, accuracy and scale
- Support the rollout and adoption of new tools, systems and ways of working across the Finance function
