PepsiCo’s sustainability strategy centres around their vision to be the Global Leader in Beverages and Convenient Foods by Winning with PEP+ (PepsiCo Positive). This roadmap guides their operations and promotes positive change for the planet and people.

While the roadmap has been expertly set out, as the Global Sustainability Engineering Lead, you will get to create how PepsiCo’s Engineering hub meets their PEP+ targets. You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing sustainability initiatives within the organisation. Your responsibilities will include assessing environmental impacts, reducing resource consumption, and driving sustainable practices across various departments. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll identify and mitigate potential product risks and issues, ensuring product sustainability and reliability. Your mission is to create a clear and positive roadmap toward achieving PEP+ sustainability goals.

ABOUT THE ROLE:  

  • Sustainability Strategy Leadership:
    • As the lead for sustainability strategy, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and execute a consistent and aligned sustainability approach across all PGCS (PepsiCo Global Concentrate Solutions) sites. This involves optimising new technologies and innovative solutions to achieve PepsiCo’s PEP+ targets.
  • Strategic Capital Programs and Business Continuity Planning
    • You’ll play a crucial role in the sustainability design aspect of Strategic Capital Programs. These programs are essential for capacity expansion and ensuring business continuity. Your expertise will directly impact the success of these critical initiatives.
  • Global Community Engagement:
    • As a member of various global communities within PepsiCo, you’ll actively participate in discussions related to reductions, environmental sustainability, and water management. Collaborating with stakeholders worldwide will enhance your impact.
  • Technical Expertise and Best Practices:
    • Your technical knowledge in sustainability engineering will be used during project design and implementation. You’ll guide the viability of technology solutions, drawing from engineering principles and industry best practices.
  • Sustainable Engineering Practices:
    • Developing and promoting sustainable engineering practices is a core responsibility. You’ll ensure plant designs and operations align with sustainability goals, contributing to a greener and more efficient future.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Demonstrated success in managing and delivering large-scale capital projects is crucial. This includes overseeing design aspects, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring high standards.
  • A strong understanding of sustainability engineering principles is essential. This includes knowledge of eco-friendly practices, resource efficiency, and environmental impact assessment.
