Barden are excited to be partnering with an Irish headquartered global group who are growing their tax team in Limerick by hiring a Group Tax Analyst.
This newly created position offers the opportunity to provide tax support on a variety of projects across multiple tax heads, reporting to the Group Tax Manager. The focus is primarily on consultancy and advisory projects, with a smaller emphasis on compliance. Additionally, there is significant exposure to international operations, providing support to the company’s global business activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Advise business units on tax matters, ensuring compliance obligations are met while identifying opportunities for tax efficiencies.
- Support the Finance Team with tax queries across VAT, PAYE, RCT, and WHT.
- Prepare year-end corporation tax computations, manage tax-related disclosures in financial statements, and liaise with auditors.
- Research tax legislation, assess the impact of policy changes such as BEPS Pillar II, and communicate relevant updates to the business.
- Support strategic tax planning initiatives and ensure compliance with transfer pricing requirements.
About the person:
Ideally the successful tax professional will have 2-3 years post-qualification experience (PQE), along with a tax qualification. Strong tax technical skills are essential. While industry experience is advantageous, it is not a requirement. Familiarity with multiple tax heads is beneficial. Excellent communication skills are needed to collaborate with non-tax professionals effectively. The role requires the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities while demonstrating initiative and strong interpersonal skills.
