Are you an experienced materials planner looking for a new challenge? We are delighted to be partnering with one of our clients, a leader in the pharmaceutical space, in their search for an experienced Material Planner to join the team at one of their key manufacturing sites.
As a Materials Planning Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless availability and compliance of materials for their commercial and clinical products. Your responsibilities will span from daily planning for material release to coordinating with various departments to meet production goals efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory standards.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Determine material requirements for production orders using MRP system.
- Ensure a consistent and adequate supply of materials.
- Manage inventory issues, planning changes, and cancellations.
- Support and maintain Site Bills of Materials.
- Review forecasts and long-range planning strategies.
- Monitor inventory levels and minimize obsolescence.
- Prepare cost estimates and performance reports.
- Support the Materials team with process improvements and resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive production planning.
- Attend and chair planning meetings and support audit preparations.
- Draft and revise standard operating procedures and support new product introductions.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- At least 2 years of materials/planning experience in an MRP environment.
- Degree level qualification in Planning, Materials Management, Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management/Logistics, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in ERP systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
