Barden is delighted to be working with our client, a leader in FDA regulated manufacturing, in their search for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer. This global organisation is a major player in its sector, and at the forefront of some of the industry’s most complex innovations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced C/C++ Embedded Engineer to work on state-of-the-art electrical equipment with a true emphasis on safety and product quality. ABOUT THE ROLE

  • In this role, you will lead and actively participate in the development, debugging, modification, and testing of application software using C/C++ and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.
  • You will track software development progress by maintaining records in the version control system and research software designs and practices to inform your work.
  • Additionally, you will engage in design and code reviews, and work on continuously improving processes by collaborating with peers and analysing workflows.
  • You will create and manage Software Development Plans detailing project deliverables and methodologies.
  • Finally, you will develop specifications and test plans for product development and upgrades while mentoring other engineers in software engineering practices and domain knowledge.

ABOUT THE PERSON

  • Extensive expertise in developing solutions using C and C++ for heavily regulated devices.
  • Deep knowledge of embedded systems fundamentals and interfaces.
  • Skilled in hardware/firmware bring-up and debugging.
  • Experienced in creating technical specifications and reports.
  • Adept at unit and system testing of embedded software.
  • Capable of collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and working independently.
  • Familiar with communication buses such as I2C, SPI, and RS232.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
