VP of Ethics & Compliance (Pharmaceutical Multinational)

Barden is working with a large international pharmaceutical business looking to identify a senior compliance professional at VP level in the organisation. This is a new role, with international scope and the first of its kind in Ireland.

The position will be primarily based in Cork but the company will consider candidates based in other parts of Ireland who are happy to commit to at least 1 day per week in the Cork office.

THE ROLE:

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the compliance program for a specific business unit which outsources the manufacturing of certain pharmaceutical products and distributes them in the USA and Canada. This role will also coordinate and/or lead the development of certain compliance topics/programs, particularly around U.S. Federal and State government price reporting, international compliance, and third-party supplier due diligence. The successful individual will collaborate closely with a variety of internal stakeholders, internationally and in Ireland, including in Business, Legal, Compliance, Quality, Audit, and HR.

THE PERSON:  

• 10+ years of experience in business/corporate/legal compliance, including building and managing compliance programs;
• Experience in a similar role at a senior level in the healthcare or life sciences industry is a significant advantage (the company will only consider candidates outside of this sector who meet in full all the other requirements);
• Experience in international compliance and 3rd party due diligence/audit;
• Experience or familiarity with U.S. government price reporting regulations is a significant advantage;
• Willingness to do some international travel.
