TYPE                                 12 month FTC

Barden are delighted to partner with a leading global online marketplace and hospitality service to support them with the appointment of a  ‘Project Manager – Community Support” role. This is a 12 month maternity leave contract role. It can operate remotely or in office.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role sits within a highly visible Community Support & Operations function, responsible for shaping and delivering programmes that enhance customer and community experience at scale. The organisation views support not as a back‑office function, but as a strategic differentiator, tightly integrated across the full customer lifecycle.

This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution and stakeholder alignment. You’ll lead complex projects and programmes of work that span multiple functions including operations, marketing, product, technology, policy and communications, ensuring initiatives are scoped, planned, delivered and launched successfully. You’ll also work closely with senior leaders, bringing structure, pace and clarity to ambiguous environments, while translating strategic objectives into executable plans. The role combines hands‑on programme delivery with strong executive engagement and influence.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading large, cross‑functional programmes from early concept through to execution and launch
  • Acting as a central connector across operational, commercial and technical teams
  • Driving clarity, structure and momentum across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Developing programme plans, schedules and performance metrics aligned to strategic goals
  • Identifying risks, managing trade‑offs and navigating complexity with confidence
  • Producing clear, executive‑ready updates, decks and communications
  • Championing strong programme governance and ways of working

 Background / skillset

  • A seasoned Project Manager with experience delivering complex, cross‑functional initiatives
  • Background in customer support, operations, service environments or platform‑led businesses is an advantage
  • Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders in fast‑moving, global organisations
  • Strong planning, storytelling and communication skills
  • Calm, resilient and solutions‑focused, with the ability to thrive in ambiguity
