Here in Barden, we are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and hugely successful Irish business in their search for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their growing Finance team at their headquarters right here in Cork. This role will report directly to the Financial Controller and the candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities and an opportunity to work with a team of over 20 experienced Finance professionals. Given some exciting growth in the business, you will get an opportunity to get involved in a wide range of finance projects and systems work.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Preparation of management accounts for the business on a monthly basis;
- Developing a thorough understanding of the business and industry to adequately assist with efficiency improvements;
- Responsible for the review of journals and all related transactions to ensure accurate recording and reporting;
- Work closely with key senior stakeholders in the planning and performance of the business to support the continued growth;
- Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and coaching to a number of finance professionals on the team;
- End-to-end accounting across various parts of the finance function;
- Ad-hoc projects and process improvements work.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA);
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Strong technical accounting ability;
- Hardworking, detailed oriented and results focused;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to act on own initiative.
