We are delighted to be partnering with an organisation who are known for being a leader in their field to assist in the search for an Accounts Assistant to join their team here in Cork.
This individual will be working closely with a skilled, approachable and welcoming mentor/Finance Manager and would be part of a team that is making a real impact in the construction industry in Cork.
Flexible, hybrid working arrangements available. This role is based halfway between Cork and Killarney and will be a 12 month contract.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Conduct bank, creditor, and credit card reconciliations.
- Validate and prepare invoices for managerial approval.
- Process all company invoices by month-end
- Weekly supplier payments according to agreed terms.
- Handle creditor reconciliations and manage queries.
- Manage subcontractor invoices and ensure compliance.
- Maintain financial security and compliance protocols.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports.
- Assist with month-end reporting and manage the nominal ledger.
- Cover payroll when needed.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong Excel Skills
- Disciplined and consistent approach to following process and procedures
- Ability to work well when under pressure and meet expected deadlines.
