A rapidly growing team within one of the leading professional services firms in Ireland are looking to recruit a corporate tax compliance director to join the team in Kilkenny.  A remote working option is available for this person provided you can travel to Kilkenny 2 days per month.   A highly rewarding bonus package is on offer. 

An excellent time to join the team as you will play a key role in the ongoing operation and coordination of the compliance business.  As a Director you will support the existing team in building compliance business for the firm, leading and delivering compliance services and developing and managing teams.  A strategic position as you will contribute to the planning for the future of the firms corporate tax compliance services.

About the position

  • Lead and manage a challenging, evolving and varied client portfolio for corporate tax compliance
  • Assist with the management and delivery of compliance services to ensure optimal resource scheduling and process efficiency that exploits current technologies to maximum potential
  • Proactive management of a portfolio of clients including financial and risk management.
  • Embrace the digital evolution in the business to drive process excellence through continuous improvement, leveraging latest tools/digital automation
  • Motivate your team to perform at their best, make a difference and deliver results, while providing mentorship and guidance allowing them to stretch to their full potential
  • Work on attracting, developing and retaining the best talents for the firm
  • Contribute to business development and proposals for new compliance business
  • Bring business knowledge, innovation and insight to create value for clients and the firm.

About the person

  • AITI / CTA qualified (or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years’ tax experience.
  • Strong leadership skills and a proven record in building a team with the capacity and capability to deliver.
  • Excellent delegation skills and the ability to manage and develop junior members of the team.
  • Strong organisation and planning capabilities a
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent business development and relationship management skills, while still maintaining the ability to take direction from Tax Partners and clients.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
