Barden are delighted to be exclusively supporting the Head of Finance of a large business in Fermoy, County Cork who are looking for an Accounts Receivable and Credit Control Specialist (Hybrid) to join their Finance Team. In this role you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely collection and allocation of all Accounts Receivable debtors while maintaining customer credit limits and terms.

Working closely with the finance team and sales functions, you’ll uphold the integrity of the companies Accounts Receivable ledger and credit insurance policy, growing strong partnerships internally and externally.

This role offers opportunities for growth, including training and upskilling in Credit Control and reporting, supported by the company.



  • Ensure timely collection of all Accounts Receivable debtors.
  • Resolve payment issues with customers and the finance team.
  • Manage credit limits and terms daily.
  • Collaborate with the legal department on debt pursuit if necessary.
  • Provide cover for the Accounts Receivable team and Inver Credit Controller as needed.
  • Ensure credit insurance for eligible customers and maintain related records.
  • Process new account applications and direct debits.
  • Handle month-end tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Prepare and report on Key Performance Indicators.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required.



  • 2-3 years AR/Credit and Collections Experience
  • Have the capacity to problem solve and build and maintain relationships
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in order to achieve daily/weekly/monthly targets
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in SAP & Oracle.
