We are looking for an ambitious and innovative leader, someone capable of leveraging their extensive financial planning & analysis experience to lead transformation initiatives and implement cutting-edge automation solutions. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, to support decision-making across the organisation.

 

As a direct report to the CFO and a member of the Finance Leadership Team, you will provide professional leadership while managing a high-performance team.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Taking the lead in the annual budgeting and forecasting procedures, collaborating closely with the finance business partnering team to generate precise financial projections.
  • Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain financial models to scrutinise business performance, detect trends, and predict future outcomes.
  • Variance Analysis: Supplying in-depth variance analysis and explain the primary drivers of financial performance to senior management.
  • Strategic Reporting: Supervising the compilation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports to ensure their accuracy and completeness.
  • Process Enhancements: Identifying avenues for refining reporting and analysis processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Taking the helm in financial due diligence for potential acquisitions, evaluating risks, and pinpointing opportunities for value creation.
  • Integration Support: Providing assistance in the integration of acquired companies and mitigating disruptions to business operations.
  • Team Development: Offering guidance and nurturing a high-performing FP&A team, fostering collaboration and facilitating continuous learning.

 

 

ABOUT THE PERSON

 

  • Qualified accountant (or equivalent) with circa 8+ years of leadership experience in a UK&I or similar, multijurisdictional, financial planning & analysis type role
  • Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and strong communication abilities, with a proven track record of effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting techniques, and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Excel, Hyperion, Tableau).
  • Possesses a track record in leading large-scale financial transformation projects and driving process automation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in leading M&A due diligence and integration efforts, preferred.
  • Exhibits a results-driven approach, characterized by an energetic leadership style that inspires others to achieve their goals.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuously improving core business processes and systems.
  • Possesses the ability and confidence to challenge existing norms and readily embrace change.
