Barden are delighted to be exclusively engaged to identify a Group Financial Accountant for a large indigenous FMCG business with a superb reputation. Roles of this nature don’t come to the Cork market every day.

The business is performing exceptionally well, is continuing to grow its international presence and has extremely ambitious plans for the future. The work is varied, dynamic and offers huge exposure to an exceptional CFO and senior stakeholders. Flexibility is promoted from the heart of the business.

ABOUT THE ROLE

–    Production of accurate and timely monthly consolidated financial information for the Group.

–    Analysis of variances and overall results, investigating material trends and providing recommendations to assist business performance.

–    Coordination and summary of consolidated budget and forecasts for the Group and supporting analysis for circulation to senior stakeholders.

–    Continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging existing and new technologies to enhance reporting capabilities and improve all elements of financial information.

–    Take on a lead role in the management of the external audit and involvement in the preparation of consolidated Group financial statements.

–    Ad hoc duties and projects to support the growing needs of the business.

ABOUT THE PERSON

–    Qualified accountant with 5 years post qualified experience.

–    Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills.

–    Proven ability to influence at a senior level in the organization.

–    Ability to work successfully on own initiative in a fast-paced environment.

–    Positive attitude with a high level of personal integrity.

–    Organised, efficient and confident personality, positive attitude.

–    Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
