Group Tax Analyst – Irish Plc

As Group Tax Accountant, you will support the Group Tax Manager in meeting the internal and external tax reporting deadlines while ensuring compliance with internal controls.

An exciting time to join the Group Tax Reporting team of a business who plan to list on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), which will result in the introduction of US GAAP reporting from 2024.

You will assume project related duties related to the implementation of the US GAAP framework while supporting the internal tax accounting requirements.

This role offers hybrid working arrangements with an expectation to collaborate in the Dublin 16 office 2-3 times per week – free parking, canteen and gym onsite.

Ideally this will suit a corporate tax professional or qualified accountant, with extensive corporate tax reporting experience. Exposure to US GAAP advantageous.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Support the internal and external tax reporting process (quarter/year end, forecasting, budgeting).
• Maintain an awareness of IFRS and US GAAP developments and assess impact on the business from a tax perspective.
• Develop and update tax reporting guidelines for the group and assist with updating the tax strategy.
• Present various tax reporting matters to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls.
• Identify process efficiencies and automation opportunities.
• Assist with ad hoc business projects.

ABOUT THE PERSON

• At least five years’ experience.
• Accounting qualification essential.
• Excellent understanding of tax accounting principles, exposure to US GAAP advantageous.
• A strong understanding of the international corporate tax landscape.
• Ability to interact confidently with various stakeholders.
